Managua, Granada and Leon will host the X
Interuniversity Festival of Culture and Art (short in Spanish FICCUA), from 03
to 08 of April, with the slogan "A single land, in a piece of
Heaven". In this activity they are expecting that more than one thousand
artists from 21 public universities of Central America and the Dominican
Republic participate.
"We, as part of the organizing committee, on
behalf of the National Council of Universities (short in Spanish CNU) headed by
the engineer Telémaco Talavera, rector of the UNA, we are giving you a cordial
welcome to show you some peculiarities of this event so important to us that Is
going to bring together all university students from Central America, Panama
and the Dominican Republic, where we will be getting acquainted with the talents
and abilities that university students are able to do "said the rector of
UNAN -Leon Dr. Octavio Guevara.
"We have a program that includes the park Juan
José Quesada, the UNAN-León central building and its facilities, will have the
opportunity to know the fences of Rubén Darío, now that we are celebrating the
150 years of the birth of our universal poet, La Merced Park, a park that has a
lot of history with this university in the heart of the city of León, we will
be in the park of the poets and we will also be the historic auditorium Ruiz
Ayesta, " said Roger Gurdián Vigil, mayor of León City.
In León The opening will take place on Wednesday,
April 5, were all university students will come out and enjoy this cultural festival.
